- National Student Money Week 2025
03 March 2025
This week, March 3rd-7th, is National Student Money Week 2025!
Hosted by the National Association of Student Money Advisers (NASMA) the driving theme this year is ‘Survive and Thrive: Building Financial Resilience’.
NASMA is dedicated to helping organisations support students in money management through providing lifelong skills which see students into adulthood. This is a service aimed at supporting students in universities and higher education and is developed by professional advisers, who also liaise with colleges, universities and a vast range of partnering organisations to bring support directly on campuses and through events.
The contribution students make to local economic and cultural vibrancy is often under-estimated. So, often, are the challenges facing students living away from home for the first time or struggling to make ends meet while trying to maintain academic excellence and have a social life.
NASMA offers support across a wide range of areas which contribute to debt and financial stress. This includes support for quitting smoking, alcohol addictions and gambling. NASMA also offers advice on day-to-day living through sharing key skills in money-saving across fashion, health, food and general shopping.
The goal is to develop the skills of students through professional development and up to date expert advice to guide them into the future. Click here to learn more about what they do.
NASMA aims to empower and encourage students to get involved by providing them with discount codes, encouraging cooking instead of buying, creating a savings plan and more.
