- About Us
Citizens Advice South Warwickshire is a local charity that provides free, confidential and impartial advice and information on a wide range of subjects. Our help is available to everybody in the community regardless of race, sex, disability, sexuality, nationality, ethnicity, religion, belief or age.
Sometimes people come to us with very simple problems that we are able to deal with on the spot. Others come with lots of different problems that have built up over time and are often related.
However big or small the problem, we can help.
Our Services
We offer a range of services from providing information and directing people to the best source of help for their issue, through to general advice from a trained adviser, or to specialist debt and housing work from one of our experts.
Our General Advice Services
From our main offices at Elizabeth House in Stratford upon Avon and Hamilton Terrace in Leamington Spa, and through our outreach surgeries, we provide advice and information on matters ranging from employment to tax rebates and everything in-between.
Information and advice also can be accessed on our Citizens Advice website or by telephone. In some cases, we may be able to offer a home visit.
Our Specialist Advice Services
As well as our general information and advice services, we also have specialist advice teams to help deal with more complex issues.
Our Money Advice Teams in Stratford and Leamington help people with more complex debt problems.
Our Court Desk Service helps residents from Stratford on Avon District who are facing eviction from their homes due to rent or mortgage arrears. We can help negotiate with landlords and lenders, assist in applying for benefits and work out an affordable payment plan as well as represent people at court.
Our Budgeting Advice service helps people to become more confident managing their money. The support includes one-to-one help to put together a household budget and deal with household bills, ways to manage and avoid debt and cut the cost of utility bills, as well as help to get clued up on credit and become a more confident consumer. Alongside supporting individuals, this service is also available in the form of group training for frontline workers. Please contact us for more details on 0808 250 5715.
